HALL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

The purpose of the Hall Management Committee is to oversee the management of the church hall on behalf of and in accordance with the policy of the Parochial Church Council to whom the committee reports. 
The specific tasks include:-
attending to the maintenance and repair of the buildings and fabric;
monitoring Health and Safety risks;
oversight of the hiring process to different community groups including recommendations relating to charges;
liaison with different hall users and representatives of local agencies;
making recommendations relating to the appointment and remuneration of the Hall Manager and staff, and the monitoring of performance.
The Committee shall have authority to spend up to £200 on items of equipment, repairs and maintenance without reference to the PCC.
MAGAZINE EDITORIAL TEAM

1.        The purpose of this team is to share the duties of gathering reports and typing articles. Also it is hoped to make the best use of the varying skills of the team members for the benefit of the magazine and its readers.
2.        Publicity for all church events will be provided to the Magazine Editorial Team by the person or committee organising the event for publication in the magazine.
3.        A member of the Magazine Editorial Team will contact advertisers annually for the renewal of advertisements and payment of fees.

WORSHIP COMMITTEE
Powers
Although a sub-committee appointed by the PCC, this Committee has no authority to take any action unless authorised by a resolution passed at a duly convened meeting of the PCC - it may however co-opt additional members for specific purposes.
Duties
1.        To meet as convened by the chairman at least 3 times a year and keep minutes of all matters discussed.
2.        To forward to the PCC Secretary a brief account of the last meeting at least 2 weeks before the regular PCC meeting.
3.        To collaborate with the clergy in considering any changes in conduct and content of all services and acts of worship.
4.         To research, consider and recommend any changes in the use of church space, music, hymn books, service sheets, bibles, times of services and all other relevant matters concerning worship.
5.         To make recommendations to the PCC concerning all proposed changes.
6.        To carry out all instructions concerning worship as authorised by resolution of the PCC.

All the above members of the PCC accept responsibility for the following information, which is hereby presented.

The aims of the PCC are
 'TO CO-OPERATE WITH THE INCUMBENT IN PROMOTING,
IN THE ECCLESIASTICAL PARISH, THE WHOLE MISSION OF THE CHURCH,
PASTORAL, EVANGELISTIC, SOCIAL & ECUMENICAL'.

In order to facilitate the carrying out of these responsibilities,
the PCC receives regular reports and recommendations from the
STANDING COMMITTEE, BUILDING & WORKS COMMITTEE,
HALL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE,
DEANERY SYNOD, MAGAZINE GROUP, MISSION SUPPORT GROUP, WORSHIP GROUP,
CLUSTER STEERING COMMITTEE and STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE.
STANDING COMMITTEE

The purpose of the Standing Committee is to carry out routine work on behalf of the Parochial Church Council between meetings of the full council, to whom the Standing Committee is accountable and to whom the Standing Committee reports. The Standing Committee meets ahead of each Parochial Church Council meeting to consider and help prepare the agenda for the Parochial Church Council meeting and minutes of this meeting are available for inspection.

The Standing Committee comprises a minimum of five members including the parish priest, churchwardens and at least two other members from the Parochial Church Council one of which is typically the Treasurer.

The Standing Committee shall have power to transact the business of the Parochial Church Council between meetings of the council subject to any directions given by the council.
BUILDING AND WORKS COMMITTEE

The Committee is appointed annually by the PCC and reports regularly at each PCC meeting.
The purpose of the Committee is:
1.        To oversee the care of the fabric, furniture and fittings including utility services, lighting and heating systems of the church and, in conjunction with the Hall Management Committee, the church hall.
2.        To oversee the care of the churchyard and the area surrounding the church hall including boundary walls, gates, fences, noticeboards, paths and driveways, trees and vegetation.
3.        To investigate and respond to requests for repairs and maintenance to the curate's house and garden and to the vicarage, where applicable.
4.        To report to the PCC any items in need of repair and maintenance.
5.        To obtain estimates and quotations for required repair work and submit these for approval by the PCC.
6.        To arrange for repairs and maintenance to be carried out either in-house or by an external contractor.

7.        To identify and report to the PCC any Health and Safety issues and to recommend appropriate action.
The Committee may co-opt additional members to assist in carrying out required work and shall have authority to spend up to £200 without reference to the PCC.
STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE

The purpose of the Stewardship Committee is:
1.        To organise and prepare stewardship campaigns and regular renewals.
2.        To administer and register weekly envelope and gift aid schemes.
3.        To arrange fundraising events to meet annual budget requirements or as required by the PCC.
The Committee shall comprise of the Stewardship Co-ordinator, Gift Aid Secretary, Treasurer and one other to be appointed by the PCC. The Committee has power to co-opt additional members for each fundraising event.
MISSION SUPPORT GROUP

Mission is at the heart of all that we do at St. Paul's Church. It is holistic, meeting a variety of needs through:
"        Prayer
"        Fellowship
"        Raising funds
It is recommended that the group should be designated the 'Mission Support Group' and proposes that:
1.        The group will meet monthly on the first Wednesday in the month at 7.45 p.m. in the choir vestry. The first month will be for prayer and the second month for fellowship and fundraising.
2.        The Mission Support Group, with PCC approval and clergy support, to assist in the caring ministry of the parish by co-ordinating visits and contact, in person or by telephone, of those in need.
3.        The group supports the charities nominated by the PCC in prayer and fundraising.
Membership of the group at present comprises of seven people but is open to all to attend prayer meetings.
