MARY

Why did the angel come to me?
Why God, what have I done?
Why does Joseph look at me that way;
why?  I've done nothing wrong!
Why God, must I carry your Son;
why God?  I am so scared!
.Why did the angel say 'Fear not!'
I am so unprepared?

I know I must have this baby,
I know He will be King,
I know He'll be the 'Saviour of the World';
Salvation, I know, He'll bring.
I know I'll call him Jesus.
I know the angel said.
I know God will give me spirit and strength,
I know he's watching overhead.

I WILL have this baby.
I love God, and I pray
my Son will be the Prince of Peace
and take man's sins away.
I will give birth to compassion,
now Joseph understands;
the angel now has told him too
his Son will be more than man.

Praise thee God almighty!
I know the world has waited
for this baby that will save mankind,
begotten not created.

Remember Mary this Christmas,
what this young mother went through
to give birth to the King of Heaven;
a child born for me, and you.

Merry Christmas!
