At the POPPY FESTIVAL in November 2005,
60 years after the end of WW2, some 40+ displays, each with poppies, depicted such themes as Air Raids, Battle of Britain, Flanders Field, Land Army, Nurses, Winston Churchill, Gas Masks, Evacuees, Air Raid shelters, NAAFI and many more.
Some £400 was raised
for the work of the
British Legion.
